Well-known actress Joselyn Dumas has found another role for her on-screen success. You may recognize her as the bride in Lynxxx‘s “Fine Lady”music video, but she is more than a pretty face. The Ghanaian actress is diving into reality T.V with her very own show, “First Ladies.” But this isn’t Joselyn’s first foray in television, she already hosts two other talk shows. To stay up-to-date on this busy ladies plans, Africa Magic’s DSTV crew caught up with the ”The Pillow Talks” host.
Can you give us a bit of background into your life?
I’m a small town girl, with a big dream of taking the world to ransom and working towards it.
How long have you been in this media game and when did it all begin?
I’ve been in this industry for about four years now, it all started when a close family friend, Kofi Okyere Darko took me to Charterhouse to audition for a TV show, Rhythmz and the rest is history.
We’re excited about your new show on AfricaMagic, what’s it all about?
The One Show is a feminine skewed talk show which tackles health, beauty, fashion, social issues, entertainment and personality interviews.
What sets it apart from other talk shows that we’ve seen before?
The One Show has two amazing hosts myself and co host PY Addo, with unique personalities and outlooks on all the different areas we talk about on the show. We make sure it is projected on the show at all times. It’s all fun but we still get important points across.
Who has been your most exciting guest on the show?
I have had lots of interesting guests on the one show, in fact every guest on the show has brought something unique on the show – themselves, but the most interesting guest I must say was Kwaku Sintim Misa, an ace broadcaster from Ghana.
How do you juggle your seemingly busy work life and home life?
I think it’s time management and having an amazing team support from my management. I never forget who I am first to my family and friends and who I am as a brand to my supporters. I never mix both.
Is it hard work being a media personality?
Oh yes it is, every new day is another chance to do better than you did yesterday. It’s not easy because you give away your privacy.
