The alarm goes off so you hit snooze and ignore it, but you could be sleeping on your true calling.

In this moving TEDxEuston talk Ikenna Azuike shares how he attained financial success and could buy anything he wanted, but still wasn’t happy. So he quit a high-paying job as a banking lawyer and followed his creative passion.

It wasn’t easy though. Ikenna addresses the pressure of choosing a typical African career over pursing your true interests.

After his major wake up call, he took a 80% pay cut to work at a radio station. From there he developed What’s Up Africa, a satirical video blog – which has become his full time work. Three years later, he’s still at it.

Don’t miss your wake up call, check out My wakeup call: Ikenna Azuike at TEDxEuston below.
